A voice for your machine.
Aria is the native voice assistant built into Directioner-OS. It listens, understands, and can carry a task through to the AI Engineer.
Status: In development
The voice and conversational surface.
Aria is an integrated feature of Directioner-OS, not a separate product. It is the voice and conversational surface for the same task model the rest of the system uses.
Aria is deeply integrated with the OS and can delegate complex tasks to the AI Engineer. It is never a mandatory intermediary: you can always type directly to Directioner-CLI.
Speech recognition, language understanding and speech synthesis run through the Beyonders backend. No provider keys live on your device.
How you talk to it.
Push to talk
Hold a key and Aria listens immediately. It does not wait for a wake word.
Wake word
Optional hands-free activation, detected locally on your device.
A chat window
A separate text surface for typed input that bypasses speech recognition entirely.
Barge-in
Interrupt playback and speak again without waiting. Cancelling a task stays distinct from stopping audio.
Per-tier capability
A simple assistant on the lower tiers, memory and more features above that, AI-Engineer control on the higher tiers.
Local audio path
Wake word, capture, noise reduction and playback stay on your device; only the reasoning call leaves it, under a visible boundary.
Built into the OS.
Aria is in development alongside Directioner-OS. It is not sold separately, and it is not a download of its own.
